Cheranallor Bhagavathy is an old temple of Kaarthyaayani Devi. This temple is visited by thousands of Hindu devotees daily as it is an ancient temple dedicated to lord Shiva. The temple is situated at the Periyar River Ernakulam District Kerela state. In ancient times, Cochin Kindom worshipped lord Shiva and Cheranallor was an important part of the daily life of people. This is part of the most important 108 Shiva Temples in Kerala. It is said that Prashurama established an idol of Shiva. This has been done in the Treta Yuga.
