A new airport has been set up for Ayodhya Darshan and this airport is called “Maharishi Valmiki International Airport”. This is a major gateway for devotees who want to darshan. The airport started functioning on 30 December. Now anyone can book their tickets through the Indian airline service and visit Ayodhya Shri Ram Lala Temple.
Construction of the airport is too high and the first phase of construction is estimated at approx Rs 14,50 Cr. This is very huge amount has been spent on this airport to make it more beautiful and better. The runway length of the airport is 2200 m as per the government informed. 2200 m runway is suitable for A-321 type of aircraft that would be a better investment in this airport.
This airport has a ground supporter equipment area with two link taxiways to avoid rush and traffic there. It makes it easy for passengers to travel and reduces noise.
To accommodate 600 peak hours passengers, a 6500 square meters tall terminal building has been established to make it easy for passengers. You will astonished to see the yearly capacity of the building which is 10 lakh passengers. In the second phase of development of the construction terminal building, 50,000 sqm is planned to be constructed. After the construction of this building, it would be able to handle 4000 passengers during peak hours with an annual capacity of 60 lakh.

Air India Express and Indigo are currently providing service and have commenced on December 30. You can purchase a ticket for the Indigo Airline that runs between Mumbai to Ayodhya from 15 January.
Mumbai To Ayodhya Flight Timings – IndiGo
- Mumbai Flight Departure Timings – 12;30 PM
This is the timings of departure time is 12:30 PM and you will reach Ayodhya at 2:45 PM. 3:15 PM, the flight will leave from Ayodhya to Mumbai.
Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata To Ayodhya
Air India Express has started on December 30. It is operation from this date and you can direct book tickets on their websites. After starting from Delhi, Air India Express will be operating from Bengaluru and Kolkata on January 17.
- The departure timings of Air India Express will be 8.05 am from 17 January and reach at 10.35 am Ayodhya.
- The return flight timing is 3:40 PM and reaches 6:10 PM in Bengaluru.
- Kolkata Flight will depart at 1:25 PM to Ayodhya and reach at 3:10 PM in Ayodhya. Koltaka timing to take off from Ayodhya is 11:05 AM and reaches at 12:50 PM in Kolkata.
