About Lingaraj Temple

The Lingaraj Temple is purely dedicated to the Lord Shiva. This temple was built by King Jajati Kesari in the 11th century CE and became the largest temple in the Odisha state. Currently, the temple is managed or progressed by the Temple Trust Board and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

The board of the Lingaraj Temple confirmed that around 6,000 devotees visit the temple every day for the Darshan of Lord Shiva. During the festival time, you can face a heavy rush in the temple. Lingaraja Temple Rudrabhisheka Timings

  • In the Hindu Religion, Lord Shiva is God and Hindu Devotees can do the Rudrabhisheka. Similarly, devotees can also do the Rudrabhisheka in the Lingaraj Temple.
  • The Rudrabhisheka at the temple is performed two times one in the Morning Hours at 6:00 am – 10:00 am and the other in the afternoon hours from 11.00 AM – 04.00 PM.
  • Always remember, that the temple only allows one family each day to participate in the Rudrabhisheka.
  • Devotees can easily book the Rudrabhisheka online in Advance. And the cost of the tickets is Rs. 11,000 per family to participate in the Rudrabhisheka.
